Grace & Family
I was saddened to learn about Steve’s passing. I had known him for three decades through the fire service.
I always enjoyed the chats, and a few good laughs along the way.
He was a good guy who went out of his way to help.
Thinkin of you, his fire service family, Red Knights, and his close friends.
RIP Steve!

Steve, you've left us far too soon but not before becoming a friend a whole lot of people, including myself.
With your giggly laugh, your ability to take a paper clip and build a fully functional space shuttle out of it, and the never quit attitude, you have left quite a mark on us all and for that I thank you.
Ride on Brother, we'll rebound and live for the moment like you did.

To all of Steve’s family
Well to say I’m shocked is an understatement and I know you all know what an amazing man he truly was and such a gentleman. When I think of Steve I remember the stories he would tell and advice he would give and there was no sugar coating anything and he would always have a huge smile and wish you a good day to stay safe ! Rest easy Steve and hopefully the better place has motorcycles to ride and work on as I know you loved that and all the animals will be coming by for loving from you! To the family I am so very sorry for your loss! Steve was one in a million!

Sincere condolences to Grace and all of Steve’s family. I am very proud to say that I worked at the Windsor Town Office for most of the years the he worked next door as dispatcher for the fire department. Steve was always helpful and willing to problem solve whenever we required assistance within the building. He will be sadly missed by many people, both within the department and others who knew him as occupants of the Walter B. Stephen’s Building.

Family of Steve Benjamin: Steve was so helpful to me during my 18 years of service with the Windsor Fire Department. He always went out of his way to help in any way humanely possible.
I remember one summer afternoon when Windsor was experiencing a high number of calls and we were rapidly running out of firefighters and Mututal Aid could not assist in a large way because of the heat and calls they were responding to.
Steve asked from the dispatch office - how many do you have on the truck as were answering another call. I replied "2". He said I mean besides you and the Deputy Chief. I said that is it....he wasn't long coming from the dispatch office and jumping into the pumper and the 3 of us responded.
God Bless as I extend my deepest sympathies! - Dan Boyd
