Obituary of Betty Ann Williams
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Williams, age 77, of Ellershouse, on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre – VG Site, Halifax. Born in Windsor, on February 12, 1947, Betty was the cherished daughter of Ella (Caldwell) (Shiers) Dearman and the late Frank Shiers Sr.
Betty enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a high school secretary, retiring in 2006. She was beloved by her colleagues and students alike, known for her warm spirit and kindness. In her retirement, she embraced life with open arms, spending her days traveling down south, hosting family gatherings and sharing home-cooked meals with loved ones. Betty was always quick to welcome anyone into her home with open arms and a generous heart.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert “Bob” Williams; mother, Ella Dearman; son, Jeff (Melissa) Williams; siblings, Frank Shiers, Dumps Dearman and Boo Dearman. She was a loving grandmother to Tristan, Mackenzie, Braden, Jessica and Daniel.

Betty will forever be remembered for her compassion, warmth and the love she showed to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held in the spring of 2025, more info to follow at a later date.
