Gail,
It breaks my heart that you, Darrell, Susan and Ricky have lost your amazing Mom. I have such fond memories of her; shouting hellos into the phone as we spoke, happy in her kitchen making food for others, hanging out with us over coffee and of course fixing her up a pair of toe-socks when she thought it would not be possible to wear!
Since moving to Edmonton, I have always loved hearing how well she was doing at her new home in Windsor. It seemed she just blossomed into an even bigger more beautiful flower there; surrounded by amazing friends who feel her loss deeply.
Hold on to all the wonderful memories she has left you with; they will shadow the sorrow you feel in time. She'll walk with you always!
Big Hugs my friend. Love you lots.

To Ricky, Susan, Gail, Darrell & your families as well as my siblings.....
Our family will forever be changed with the loss of our oldest sister Ann.
We as a family are not a close one for sure as we have all headed in our own directions but the love is still there for sure......your children and grandchildren are dealing with a great loss.
In the 60's and early 70's I spent quite a bit of my summer vacation with Ann and her family. There is a 20 year difference in her and my age and considering there is only 1 year between me and her oldest Ricky ...it seemed as though my nephew and nieces were more like siblings to me and Ann seemed more like my mom. Those were great times even when Ricky and I would get into the freezer and eat the cherries up and blame the younger kids... Ann always knew it was us and we got in deep dodo for lying...we did not lie very well. LOL!
This has left a hole that will not be filled until we meet up again...Love you forever Ann xoxoxo

There is a 'void' here at Gladys Manning in the Steven's building that can be felt EVERYTIME we walk through the front door!
We miss Ann SO MUCH!
Her cheerful greeting, it was always 'Yes dear', with her gentle voice .. but on the other hand if there was a joke .. she had a laugh that was contagious.
A few months ago, came the 'Misfits' ; Ann became their manager .. she gave them their name and had a sign made for them! (The 'Misfits' were 4 people who lived on Ann's floor who formed a little band.)
I KNOW the 'void' we feel is NOTHING compared to your broken hearts .. Gail, Darrell, Susan and Richard (your spouses and children) we send our sincere condolences. Lean on each other for support and let the tears fall. In time, the ache in your hearts will subside and each thought will become a 'golden memory'. Hang on to those memories!
May God Bless you and give you the strength to face each new day.
RIP our dear sweet Ann ..
Sincerely with love and hugs,
Brenda and Red

David & I were talking the other day about our once a month Sunday visits to your Mom & Dad's back in the late 70's and how much laughter there was in those days. Buddy would always have a funny story to tell and your Mom would add her two cents worth in, about what really happened and that made it even funnier.
Angela, Stephanie, Kim and Jason loved it when Uncle Buddy would tease them and your Mom would always have treats for them and something homemade for David and I to take home with us. Those were the days!!
We have lots of great memories of your Mom and will always remember her laugh and her love of her children & grandchildren.
We hope that you have lots of wonderful memories to keep your Mom close at heart and mind. Hoping that love from family and friends, and wonderful memories will help you through this difficult time.
Love & hugs
David (brother) Anitra & Families

It's difficult to find the words to express how saddened I am to hear Ann is no longer with us. Growing up I had spent almost as much time in her home as my own. She is an amazing mother and loving grandmother and I've yet to meet someone that could cook and bake like Ann.
My sincerest condolences to Darrell, Gail, Susan and Ricky. Ann will be missed by many and remembered by all lucky enough to know her.

Ann was my sister and we lived next door to each other as our families were growing up. We made a lot of memories together and sooo many times of crazy laughter We did so much together . The last few years we have not seen so much of each other but I will surely miss her so much. Rest in peace Ann .
Those were the days
That I could master
We were slower,
And the pace was faster.
Love and tears
