My Mom and Dad had a cottage next to the Delaney cottage. As kids we were good friends with Buddie and his brother Danny as well as others on the lake road. We had such good times together. I was so saddened to read of Buddies passing. I would have attended his service but am presently away.
I would like to offer all of Buddies family my sincerest condolences.
It sounds as though Buddy had a wonderful and loving family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Donna

My condolences to the family and friends of Bud Delaney.
Bud and I worked together at Communications Nova Scotia from time to time but he also helped me film a little home movie about a boat I once bought. It turned out to be 3 hours in duration and thanks to Bud it looks great and came in on budget. Of course, he was a very good cameraman but much more than that I'll always remember his wonderful smile, his quick laugh and his positive disposition. We had a lot of fun together. I know he loved his baby girls and his wife as he would mention them with affection during the shoots. He was a wonderful man and I will miss him too! My sincerest condolences.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Bud on a number of television projects. He was always the consummate professional and a great guy to be around. He would add a lightness and fun to any job. There was always an interesting story to be told as he would recount shoots in exotic, interesting locations. Our condolences to the family on the loss of this very special man.

Words are not able to express my sadness upon learning of Bud's death. I want to offer my sincere condolences to all his family. His passing is a terrible loss for them. I met Bud over 40 years ago and he and Sue have remained friends ever since. I saw the love and caring that he had for Sue, his girls and his grandchildren - he was a fine example of husband, father and grandfather as well as a professional in his work. He lived life to its fullest and it has ended far too soon. Everyone who knew him will remember him for his smile, his sense of humour and his friendship. We were privileged to have known him. I hope that his memory will help his family and friends to carry on living as he would have done. Rest in Peace, my friend.

So very sorry to hear the sad news today on Bud's passing. Susan,I can't imagine the pain you and your family are dealing with. Bud was an amazing man and was one of my most favorite people . I am so happy that I did get to see him earlier this year and was able to catch up on things and more importantly was able to get a long overdue hug from him. He never changed and it was like time stood still with him. His passion for his family was so apparent, especially, when he spoke of his girls and his grandchildren. He clearly loved you and the life you shared together. You two were made for each other, there is no denying this. One thing I know for sure is that Bud gave enough love to you all to last 10 lifetimes, so my prayers are now that you all find the strength and courage to carry you through one day at a time, until peace presents itself.

To Bud's family and truest friends, I offer my deepest condolences. I worked with Bud in the "Good Old Days" of television at ATV, the likes of which will never be seen again. Bud was a great co-worker and mentor, from whom I learned a few of the "tricks of the trade". I have a lot of great memories of Bud, as well as many great stories, many of which I cannot share but will hold forever in my heart! He was a fun-loving person and a joy to work with. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered in our television community. Sincerely, Jody Jessome

My deepest condolences to the Delaney Family. Bud was so dearly loved and appreciated by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We worked together for many years for Vision TV's Skylight- producing politically satirical music Videos. Bud was a joy to work with . Not only was he amazingly creative and always full of innovative ideas, but he was so positive, joyful , boundlessly energetic and supportive. It occurred to me that I never once saw Bud furrow his brow. He was always smiling..Bud had the greatest stories to tell , but the ones that were dearest to his heart were of his family. I've never met a man who was so proud of his family . Every week he brought a stories about his wonderful kids and lovely wife Susan . He absolutely delighted in his family. You can be assured of his enormous love and pride in you. I hope you can take comfort in the beautiful life you shared together and the knowledge that that love goes on forever.

Bud, our Family has suffered a huge loss. I will forever miss you and look for you when I am home in Halifax, especially at Family Gatherings. The Reunion in 2013 was awesome, and you and I just recently discussed that it would be nice to have another and that has been on my mind. You are now having a Family Reunion in Heaven. All our Loved Ones have you Home with them now. I remember after we sold our cottage in Lewis Lake, I was just little girl. We went to visit and you and Kenny took a few of us out in your Speed Boat. It was so much fun. I could always count on you over the years to be at any family gathering, fun or sad. I wish I had gotten to know your family more. I can tell you were amazing as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. It is obvious by the outpouring of condolences how much this world loved you and will continue to love you. R.I.P., Bud. I still can't believe you are gone. I love you and I know we will see each other again..
Your cousin,
Darlene Delaney
