SCOTT, Roger William - 43, of White Rock, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at home. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Bernard Allison and Cheryl Ann (Martin) Scott.In Roger's younger years he began his employment at the Towers Department Store in New Minas. He later worked in the maintenance department of the VG Site, QEII, Halifax and for the past number of years was employed in the laundry department at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Roger's main hobby was processing firewood.Surviving are 10 aunts and uncles; several cousins.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service (902-538-8317). There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, in the Gaspereau Baptist Church, 2828 Greenfield Rd., Gaspereau. Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating, with burial in the Black River Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the White Rock Community Centre or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
