Dear June, Charmaine,Pam and Jim, I was shocked to read of Ron's death in this morning's paper. [we are the same age.] During my whole time at Windsor Ron was such a dear friend and church worker. In fact the whole family were stalwarts of Windsor United. It is great you will have his CD to remember him by. In Windsor Dad passed away at this exact time of the year. I have just read of the passing of your husband and dad....I really did not know him personally but when I moved to Three Mile Plains in 1996 with my husband Jamie Swinamer I really did not know many people in the area and I used to walk my kids up by your house and he was usually sitting out on the deck.....he always spoke to me and made me feel welcome in the area and as yrs went by I got used to seeing his smiling face waving at me...even when i was just driving by...he also used to speak to me if I run into him in town...he was the nicest man and I am so sorry that he had to leave you all...I just wanted you to know how nice he always was too me...I will miss seeing him out on the deck with you all ...God Bless you all.....Doreen

June; My daughters and I had the pleasure of a brief acquaintance with Ron when he came this Autumn to play guitar with the King's Fiddlers. I was unfamiliar with everyone's names as my daughters are new to the group, but as soon as we saw his wonderfully warm smile in the photo with the obituary, my daughter Mollie immediately remembered that he had been the one to comment at the group on how nice it was to look out and see Mollie and Chloe smiling as they play! That of course brought bigger smiles to their faces and they felt so welcomed by Ron into the group! We feel privileged to have met Ron - even though so very briefly. If our encounter with him is any indication, I suspect that he has brought much joy to many in his life! We are so sorry for your loss.
