If Richard Harris was your friend.
He was always your friend.
When we were young we would run wild
A lot of times Richard led the pack.
When we matured and married the wild calmed down,
But Richard was still the friend you could call
when your furnace quit or your water pump blew up
or you needed a strong back.
As life consumed us we didn’t have time to play
But after 20 odd years Richard founded the
Parker Road Lodge which brought us all back
together for a few hours every Saturday.
When Richard got sick Alexander Keith’s stock
went down 10 percent, but when ever he got a chance he
would still come to Lodge.
Good Bye Old Friend we’ll see you later
Have a cold beer and a pickled egg while you wait.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Richard. I always enjoyed working with Richard at Michelin and I truly enjoyed the time spent together outside of work. The worst thing he ever did was pass along his pickled egg recipe to me, people loved those things. I must have made thousands for the curling club and legion in Ottawa. Richard would often phone me and see how production was going and I would tell him that he ruined my life with a laugh. Those days have long since passed but my memories of Richard haven't.

I always enjoyed the quick wit & banter Richard & I shared all the years we worked at Michelin. He would always see me coming and had a smart comment ready as soon as I was within hearing distance. The only way for me to get the last word in was to walk away as we both laughed. He certainly made those long shifts much more enjoyable! Rest in peace.

So sorry to learn of Richard's passing. Not only were Richard & I 2nd cousins, we were classmates for many years. The early years there was always a little rivalry to see which one of us would have the better marks, which were usually neck in neck! At Morristown school he was always my favourite boy & the only one I would invite to my birthday parties! My all the memories of Richard bring comfort to the family at this time.
