I’m so sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. I had only met her quite recently, and didn’t know much of her history. It was interesting to learn how accomplished a woman she really was. How fortunate Nova Scotia and Canada have been that Barbara and Gordon met and married. Her generosity, intelligence and meticulousnesses benefited countless people. She was far too modest to mention that she was the Nova Scotia Open Women’s tennis singles champion in 1958, 1965, 1967, 1972, and, at the age of 53, in 1981.
