Obituary of Malcolm Craig Hamilton
Age 76, of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Hibbert and Joyce (Warick) Hamilton.
Malcolm worked for the Hants Co. Exhibition, the Avon Pony Club and various other individuals over the years as a carpenter and the best handy man you could call upon. He absolutely loved horses, gardens, gardening and flowers.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (McClair, Carey); son, Bradford (Deanna); grandsons, Brady (Loretta), Brandon and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Myia, Sawyer and Evan; sisters, Mulvina, Linda (Lawrence), Louisa, Joy, Deanna, Marlene, Yvonne and Brenda; brothers, Brian (URLinda), Primrose (Cindy), Hibbert “Bert” (Peggy), Jonathan (Diane), Rodney and Perry (Judy); as well as several nieces and nephews and his horses, Abby and Amber.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Nathaniel and Elizabeth Warwick and James and Louisa Hamilton; twin brothers in infancy; brother, Ivan; several aunts and uncles and his horses Kenny, Willie, Streak and Big Fella.
The family would like to say thank you to Amber Phillips and the palliative care team, as well as all of the doctors who took good care of Malcolm during his illness.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). No visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Curry officiating. An interment will immediately follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
